Adventure Tourism

One of the most varied landscapes in the world, Cantabria has over a hundred sand beaches, 2600 meter mountain peaks and lots to explore in between. With its prehistoric caves, world-class surfing beaches and mountaineering, as well as lots of culture, Cantabria offers many adventures within a few minute’s drive.

It’s known as “la costa verde” or the green coast due to its lush vegetation and oceanic climate, strikingly different from the “meseta” of Spain to the south. The humid weather and variable climate creates a dynamic environment of flowing rivers and green pastures that are lacking in the provinces to the south.
